Welcome to a Summer Your Campers Will Never Soon Forget!

Acadia Mountain Guides Climbing School is a full service climbing school located in the state of Maine that leads courses and expeditions all throughout the United States and internationally as well. As a summer camp, Acadia Mountain Guides is accredited by the American Camp Association, American Mountain Guide Association, and the Professional Climbing Instructors Association; and as of 2024, is the first camp to be accredited by all three groups. The reputation of Acadia Mountain Guides has been reached through holding our staff and guides to exceptionally high standards through and through.

The school is led by Jon Tierney, one of a handful of American's to achieve a full IFMGA  international mountain guide certification. With his oversight, the climbing school runs a number of specialized camps, each tuned to different levels of experience in the world of rock climbing. There are also high adventure and multi-sport camps for those who would like to experience more that only rock climbing. The majority of these camps are overnight camps where campers will stay in tents in different camp sites around Acadia, New Hampshire, or the rest of Maine depending on the summer camp experience that you choose for your camper.
