Bar Harbor Location is open for winter!

Bar Harbor Location is open for winter!

New and exciting changes are coming this winter for our Bar Harbor store!

We at Alpenglow Adventure Sports are very excited to announce that our Bar Harbor store will remain OPEN for this winter season! Our local customers will be able to benefit from having their most trusted gear shop open for business and in-store pick-up for online orders. Visitors to Bar Harbor will also be able to  climb with us through our partner company Acadia Mountain Guides Climbing School or rent the gear they need to have their own adventure!

This means we are still offering climbing out of Bar Harbor, so you can book us to climb inside Acadia National Park! Of course, as winter creeps around, we will be transitioning to guiding ice climbing within the park, and we are optimistic we will have some good ice this season!

Not into ice climbing? No worries! Our retail location will still offer amazing deals and gear to outfit you for the winter season and we are excited to soon be offering Cross Country Ski RENTALS for the first time in many years this winter! We will still be offering snowshoe along with the new cross-country ski rentals for those wanting to explore Acadia during the quietest season.

Local non-profit Friends of Acadia and locals groom the carriage trails within the park, making cross-country skiing the perfect activity to enjoy the park intimately. Snowshoes allow sure-footed hiking so you can bag peaks all year round!
