Use of Coupon Codes
Standard Discounts* apply to the following individuals:
- Prior clients of Acadia Mountain Guides Climbing School, 15%.
- Prior summer camper’s in AMG’s Rock Climbing and Adventure
Camp, 15%.
- Shop Local Rewards, 15% (greater than $1000.00 in purchases
in store).
If you do not know your coupon code and are a prior client please call us and we will take care of getting you one.
These individuals have unlimited use of their coupon code for 15%
off retail (MSRP) prices. Coupon may not be used for an
additional discount on sale items. If an item is on sale you will receive the
greater of the two discounts.
Examples:
An item has a retail price of $100.00. You would save $15.00
by using your code.
An item has a retail price of $100.00 and is on sale for 25%
off. You would save $25.00. Do not use your code. In other words, no double discounting.
Unfortunately our POSIM based Ecommerce shopping cart is not
smart enough (any programmers out there?) to separate items on sale from those
not on sale so it applies a discount to your sub-total of purchases thus giving
you the appearance of a double discount. When we see the order in the system we
will contact you to let you know the price discrepancy before charging your
card any balance due. We hope you understand.
* some product and seasonal exclusions apply (Western
Mountaineering, BD ski gear in season, etc)
% Off Coupon Codes
Occasionally we
issue 10% - 25% off discount codes for a promotion or for clients who found a price match or for clients who
had an order problem in the past.
These are typically one time use coupons for 20% off retail (MSRP) prices. Coupon may not be used for an
additional discount on sale items. If an item is on sale you will receive the
greater of the two discounts.
Examples:
An item has a retail price of $100.00. You would save $20.00
using your code.
An item has a retail price of $100.00 and is on sale for 25%
off. You would save $25.00. Do not use your coupon code. Save it for another time when something you want is not on sale. In other words, no double discounting.

Fixed Discount Codes Often given as part of a giveaway or climbing comp prize, road race prize, etc.
These are one time use codes that may be used. Usually a monetary amount such as $50.00 that can be applied toward any purchase.
